Pro golfer Jeff Klauk credits his father for giving him his start in golf. His father, Fred, served as the superintendent at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., before retiring in 2008. Jeff played collegiate golf at Florida Southern College, and his team won the NCAA Division II Championship three times from 1998 through 2000. Klauk won the individual title in 2000, and was a member of the Palmer Cup team that same year.
Klauk began his professional golf career in 2000, and has primarily played on the Web.com Tour. To date, he has two wins on that tour. In 2008, Jeff earned his PGA TOUR card for the 2009 season. He had a successful season on the PGA TOUR and retained his card for the 2010 season.
In September 2012, after brain surgery, Jeff made his first professional golf start in 14 months at the Albertson’s Boise Open on the Web.com Tour.
Sports have played a large role in Jeff’s family life. His father was chosen as Golfweek Golf Father of the Year in 2000. Jeff’s wife, Shanna (Nagy), won nine collegiate titles and was NCAA Division II Championship winner in 1996 and 1998 at Florida Southern. His brother John joined the 2004 Web.com Tour after a successful college career at the University of Texas. Jeff’s younger brother, Jason, was a distance runner for the University of Florida track team.
